I don’t have enough serotonin for this sh1t.

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all well and good and have had an amazing weekend.
Today I bring the 3rd instalment of my calender.
I don’t have enough serotonin for this shit.

My Mrs thinks this is funny, and totally agrees with it. She explained to me that as she’s suffered with depression from a very age, she knows that’s why antidepressants work, by bringing the serotonin levels back up, happy pills she calls them. This I didn’t know, as you’re not told why you’re on happy pills. So depression is a medical imbalance of serotonin. I think it’s more than that, but these are simple terms for me to understand.
So how would you raise your serotonin? For me, watching sport, eating good food. For instance I was living in a bad flat before I met my now partner. She came up with an idea of moving in with each other, as housemates, because her flat wasn’t great either. The first night we moved in, she cooked a toad in the hole and mash potatoes, and I wish I had a picture of it. It was lush. I had three quarters of the plate toad in the hole then the rest mash. All I used to live on, was croissants and cheap crisps. This lifted my mood big time. Good food makes me feel like I’ve been hugged, it was awesome to have a proper a meal.
Then In sport, football. If your team wins or has a good game, it puts you in a happy place for a couple days, until the next game.
Thanks for reading have a cracking week ahead enjoy the week look forward to the spring coming in and for some nice weather.
As always any question drop them in a comment below and I’ll get back to you.

Dear John
I had toad in the hole this week. I am a toad in the hole fan too.
Good food is really important for a person to keep their mood level.
I don’t know much about serotonin. But I think I have got the T-shirt regarding depression.
I feel that my positivity is ingrained from working with computers because they always need fixing and helps me exercise the part of the brain that solves problems.
I hope your partner is ok, and you continue as best you can, as I do too.
