Great innings

There is no "I" in struggle

Great innings

Good morning, everyone. I hope you’ve all had an amazing weekend. The weather in the UK has been brilliant this weekend.

Today, I’m doing a celebration of 107 blog’s posted since I started in 2022. What an achievement for me. In cricket, that would be known as a great innings.

When I started out blogging, I would never have thought I’d do over 100 blogs. This has made me feel really proud today.

When I was at school I would struggle with my writing you could hardly read what I was saying, my partner would still agree, thank goodness for computers!

I remember being in year 5 at school and my teacher telling me not to join my writing up so she could understand it. I now understand joined writing is called cursive, and is definitely not one of my strong points.

Then before covid, I joined a writing club with my partner and really enjoyed it, letting my imagination run wild, and with only me to read it out loud. The biscuits helped a lot too 😆 😂.

Coming up with blog ideas isn’t easy, so I use things that happen in my life, then get it edited by friends and family, ready to be published. I’m so thankful my partner is very good at deciphering my ramblings 😁.

I also want to shout out to a few people. My partner for editing my blogs, my sister for helping, when she not working, and helping with promoting my blogs. Louis, who I’ve never met, but he supports me so much and helped get my website back from the dead when it all went wrong. My aunty Sharon for when I started this journey, she helped keep my Facebook page alive and did some editing. Also my IT man who I call a legend and a magician. He has made my website look amazing and given me my love back for blogging. And then you, my followers and supporters, who have commented on all my content, make me feel proud. And last but not least, Paul, He brought my partner’s shed, and has turned out to be an amazing friend and great support. And thank you to all my sponsors out there.

Here’s to the next 100 blogs thank you all again.

I wish you all have a great week remember to take some you time and chill 😎 to recharge yourself.

Don’t forget you can drop a comment and I’ll get back to you.

  1. Dear John

I thank you for the shout out, IT magician is a great accolade, Gandalf looks over my shoulder as I work in my sitting room.

I can only hope to achieve as others and always feel good when program starts operating correctly.

A humble stance when working with the computer and most other people is wise and a way. Whether forward or backward remains to be seen.

Bring on the work so I might solve and solve and solve again.

It makes me cheery to find you liking the site, and we can now attach pictures to let you see how I feel.

Picture is of the river by Ellingham Mill, a place a person can rely on to relax the turbulent mind. The sound of the Weir in the background forces itself gently into one’s memory.

Love this John, look forwards to your boys as much as you do!

You do great mate, that school teacher that said not to join your words up should have helped you that was their failure because you then show in Covid you had a real teacher that coached and you have not stopped since.

Sad in life how many people are in positions where they are there to Mentor and motivate but they don’t care, they are the wrong people in those jobs.

You have proved…..Don give up …..put your mind to it and you create beautiful things.

Ps I was the lucky one bought a shed but got a Johnand Debs free 😊

    Look forwards to blog 1007!
