An inspirational man

There is no "I" in struggle

An inspirational man

Hey everyone, welcome to a new week. I hope you have had an amazing weekend and you didn’t eat your weight in chocolate eggs, haπŸ˜†πŸ˜….

Today, I’m going to talk to you about the strongest man I know out there. I am amazed with his strong spirit, after everything he has gone through.

In 2018 my hometown in Lowestoft, most easily point in the UK, held a mental health conference. We had several speakers, from which I took loads from, but one man left everyone in shock and also amazement on how far this man and his now wife have come.

This man’s name is Dan Biddle, the most injured survivor from the 2005 7th July terrorist attack in London.

Dan spoke on this day at the Lowestoft event and spoke about what happened after the attack.

The main point that hit me was when Dan saw psychiatrists, they said they couldn’t’ cope with Dan’s story.

Also another bit that sticks out was, that it was an Asian bomber and at the hospital Dan talked about coming round and the first thing he sees is an Asian doctor helping him.

Also the love story with Dan and Gem is a nice story to hear. And I have them both on social media, they are so funny. If I’m struggling you can always rely on Dan and Gem to have put something silly online to make you laugh πŸ˜ƒ.

Dan has a book coming out in June called ‘Back from the dead, the untold story of the 7/7 bombings’. You can now pre order it on Amazon. Dan is a truly inspirational man, my blog can’t do it justice but I just wanted to share with you a tiny bit about this amazing man and his wife’s story.

This is a really moving post…

I have just pre-ordered the book.

I am thinking that the places ones mind goes can be very dark and low.

When you come come back though it is to smell the fresh cut grass and remember only, making the future safe for you, and those that are on the same path, your friends.

Everyone…literally every one, has a story. Make it a good one, hey?
